The Texas Women's Empowerment Foundation offers an array of mentoring programs and services designed to empower the whole family; however, emphasis is directly on young women and young men. These programs will help the youth to achieve independence and self-reliance. In general, the Foundation seeks to serve young women and young men by creating a sense of harmony and balance in each aspect of their lives. Through various delivery mechanisms (i.e. one-on-one mentoring, mentoring classes, educational workshops and seminars, etc.) the Foundation provides scholarships, education, training, professional development, resources, and inspiration for youth designed to aid in the leveling of the playing field.
Mentoring Programs and Services
The Young Women's mentoring program has a plethora of components to develop the total person. TWEF is committed to the personal advancement of young people and has set in operation a program that will capture the extended needs of young women and young men. Components of the young women's program include:
* Grow Up!
* A New Look!
* Etiquette Awareness!
* Brains and Beauty!
* Dating Essentials!
* The Suzie Homemaker Series
These mentoring sessions cover the primary basic mentoring needs of today's young woman. These sessions encompass a large scope of material that attracts those Mentors who have the compassion to assist in the development of young women.

Texas Women's Empowerment Foundation followed the same strategic plan for growth by launching a male component of the organization. The male component called M.E.N. (Mentoring, Educating, and Networking) got off to a great start. The Adult men of the organization launched a full program that will aid in the development of young men. The first session, was launched as a Town Meeting, calling all men who wanted to get involved in this outstanding mentoring program.
The agenda of the program is to serve the young men in the community of Houston and surrounding areas with a five point agenda; Academic and Professional Development, Relationship Enhancement, Social Foundation, Personal Presentation, and Health and Wellness. This dynamic program will enhance the performance of young men and allow them to focus on the total development of themselves. The structured class style sessions allow young men to study from a foundation development curriculum and allows for personal accountability.
Components of the young men's program include:
* A Man's Responsibility!
* A Gent's Look!
* Etiquette Awareness!
* The Standards of A Young Man!
* Dating Essentials!
* The Male Leader Series
Like the young women, these mentoring sessions for young men cover the basic mentoring needs of today's young man. These sessions also encompass a large scope of material that attracts those Mentors who have the compassion to assist in the development of young men.
TWEF conduct sessions at the Empowerment Community Center as well as at pre-arranged venues.
Completion of both the young women and men's mentoring programs takes a full year. Follow-Up programs can last as long as four years which encompasses the duration of a Mentees college term.
